#353: “Deaths of Despair” lower w church attendance?

A recent study confirms that so-call “deaths of despair” – deaths due to alcoholism, drug use, poor lifestyle choices – which tend to be higher in middle-aged white men, tend to be lower in states with more church participation. We need community. And we need God. Even if you don’t care about God, at least make the time to build some community, start a club, add something to someone else’s life. It just might enhance and lengthen yours.
